It's gonna take a good'n tomorrow to make the weekend. He goes at 12:53.

The Bear Trap was extra difficult today with all the wind.

Grinding It Out
BG's in today at even-par 70. At 144 (+4), he is well inside the +6 cut-line.

This all sounds so sterile, but . . .

Look at the card:

http://www.pgatour.com/r/leaderboard/

Starting on #10, he bogies #11, #13, and #14. He's now +7 for the tournament. What to do . . .

Quit?

No way!

He stick-handles through the Bear Trap (#15-#17) in even par.

Then, turning for home, he birdies #1, #3, #5, and #7. A bogie at #18 mars the front-nine card, but it remains a brilliant, under-the-gun, closing nine.

We can talk 'stats' all we want. But, the final determinant is heart.

No stat for that.

But there should be.

Not a great weekend for Brian. In tough conditions, he closed with 72-73 for a four round total of 289 and T-55.

Next up, the Transitions Championship at Innisbrook in Tampa Bay, Florida, March 17-20.

Sheer determination! Impressive.
