You are probably halfway across the ocean right now on the way back home to Atlanta after a 3 week 'vacation' in Scotland.
Just like to say thanks for allowing me to join up with you the past few weeks (during the final day of the Scottish Open and playing a few rounds of golf) I really hope that you enjoyed your time over here and to say that I'd really enjoyed my time with the Master himself.
It was fun meeting BG, Kip at the Scottish Open and of course the lovely Mrs Yoda as well during your time here.
As for the golf, it was fun that we managed to fit in Carnoustie and *ahem* The Old Course at St Andrews last Thursday and Friday
I know that neither of us played to the best of our abilities but there was signs that we were approaching some sort of game towards the end of the week. Like I said on Friday standing on the 16th fairway on the Old Course, you can't really beat this.
I really hope that you had fun over here and that Mrs Yoda enjoyed her time too.
The only pity was that we didn't get to do much range work together but I did manage to get more information for the incubator whilst I was at the range when you were working with Gary and Ken.
Safe journey and speak soon my friend,
Alex
p.s. I think I still have one of your dowel rods....
p.p.s I managed to birdie 2 holes at Carnoustie and start off Par, Par on the Old Course...my highlights
Alex sounds like you had a ball. Unfortunately I missed Yoda at Loch Lomond and Turnberry but Im sure he'll be back for the Open every year now so maybe see him in St Andrews next year.
Still met Brian and Kipper at Turnberry on practise day and my youngest sun gave kipper a lollipop (a "sucker" in kipper speak) for the victory stroll down 18 on Sunday. Unfortuntely this time it didnt happen but Im sure they had a ball anyway and learned a lot about life on the links.
Saw Brian giving someone (might have been Ben Crane?) a lesson on the chipping green about low point, hinge action and being on plane into followthrough. Very interesting to see.
And the kids managed to get team BG autographs on their special LBG green coloured hats. Theres a space for Yoda so they'll be chasing him next year to get the full team.
