We made some recent changes to our server and it was taken offline yesterday.
We brought our backup server online last night and it has been running the site until today, however the forum database was about a week old, so we set it up for read access only. The backup server sits in my home office and runs over a cable modem, so we only use it in situations where our primary ISP server isn't available. We didn't allow any posting because that would have put the databases between the backup and the primary out of sync.
If you are a brand new member and had difficulty logging into the site, it was because the backup server didn't have you updated in the database.
We are back online with our primary server with full read and write access to the site. During the cutover there were about 12 members on the backup server who lost their connection when we shifted back to the primary server. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.
Sincerely,
